Conclusion

Now that you have sent your letter to the school board, you should feel a great sense of accomplishment! You learned many new things about a person who is important to our state's history, and you learned that writing a persuasive letter can be a powerful skill. The school board will ultimately make the final decision on what our schools will be called, but it was fun to share our thoughts with them. Who knows, maybe next year you will be going to Mark Twain Elementary!
