All Doodles that have been created

For the United States contest, Google is asking you to create a Doodle that has you tell "If I could travel in time, I'd visit... ". Brainstorm ideas for your Doodle by coming up with your vision for what you would do in the world, if you could do anything. Think about your dreams, your hopes for the future, etc. Be creative!

Here are some tips on creating your Google Doodle from Dennis Hwang, the original Google Doodler.

Dennis' Top Ten Tips

  1. Make sure your design complements the shape of the letters in the Google logo, but don't let that restrict your creativity.
  2. Experiment with different media to see which one works best for your design (you can even create your doodle on your PC).
  3. Don't over-complicate your design – simpler images often have the most impact.
  4. Remember that your design could end up on the Google homepage, so imagine how it will look on screen.
  5. To find inspiration around thetheme, try thinking about the past and the things or events you think are very important that you would have loved to see in person.
  6. Remember to use color well and think about how it interacts with a white background.
  7. Avoid commercial or copyrighted images.
  8. Think outside the box – try to create a doodle that's different from your classmates and hasn't been done before.
  9. Feel free to use the space behind and in front of the Google letters, but try to maintain your design's overall balance.
  10. Have fun! "Doodle 4 Google" is all about creativity and enjoying designing fun things. Think about how you want to change the world.

Tips from http://www.google.com/doodle4google/doodler.html

To create your Doodle:

  • Use the template provided to help you get started with your drawing.
  • Fill out the entry form. You must have a title of your Doodle (can't be longer than 5 words). You also have to write a brief description about how your Doodle expresses the "If I could travel in time, I'd visit... " theme (maximum of 50 words).
  • Turn in your Doodle and completed entry form to your teacher. A panel of judges will select the 6 entries from our school to go on to the national contest.
  • All of our entries will be posted on the school website so you can see everyone's creative ideas.
