The Branson R-IV School District participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program and has adopted the Missouri Eat Smart Guidelines for all grades, as part of their Wellness Policy.
Nutritious meals are served for both breakfast and lunch daily. A wide variety of foods including fresh fruits and vegetables are offered each week.
Parents are encouraged to complete a confidential Free and Reduced Price Meal Application yearly to see if their child(ren) qualify for assistance. Only one application is needed for your entire family.
Students that qualified for Free or Reduced Price Meals in the previous school year will automatically qualify for the first 30 days of school. A new application must be submitted, before the end of those 30 days, or students will automatically be changed to Full Price status.

Parents are encouraged to sign-up for the Parent Portal through any school office so they can easily track their children’s meal purchases. A current e-mail address is also important so parents can receive notifications from the building cashier regarding their children’s account.
Money should be pre-deposited into the student’s individual meal account. Parent’s now have three options when making payments:
Option 1: Through the Parent Portal and Pay Pal money can be immediately applied to a student’s meal account.
Option 2: With a check made payable to Branson Schools with their child’s first and last name written on the memo line.
Option 3: With cash placed in a sealed envelope with the child’s first and last name and the amount, written on the outside of the envelope.
A positive meal account balance should be kept at all times. When a student’s meal account balance reaches negative $10.00 they will automatically be switched to a sack lunch with milk; until their account balance returns to a positive amount.
Students with a negative balance of $.01 or more will not be allowed to purchase ala carte items; including extra juice and milk.
