Standards Addressed
This is a WebQuest created to cover 4th grade government/Constitutional democracy GLEs. Students set up your classroom Constitution, learn about the three branches of government, and write their own bill.
This is a WebQuest created to cover 4th grade economics GLEs. Literacy is integrated into this WebQuest by reading the book, "The Toothpaste Millionare," written by: Jean Merrill. Students will learn about supply and demand, taxes, savings, investing, and profits by creating and marketing a new toothpaste.
This is a WebQuest created to study poetry, figurative language, sensory details, and the writing process. Students will study various types of poetry and figurative language to create a greeting card for a holiday/special occasion of their choice.
This is a 4th grade interdisciplinary lesson that integrates social studies, science, and communication arts Missouri state standards. Students start with the essential question: Can positive things result from war? They study the Civil War and observe the effects and results of the war. Students will compare the Civil War era to our present day and create interview questions that will solicit an opinion about war from another student.
