Drama students are eligible for a variety of field trips. All
Drama students should have a permission slip on file in September
in order to participate.

Musical / Play - Occasionally, students
will have the opportunity to see a play at another school, Springfield
Little Theatre, or Hammons Performing ArtsCenter. An additional
cost may be applicable. These trips are ALWAYS on a volunteer
basis.
Happy Bear- Drama students assist
the kindergarten counselors with this activity.
ELL visits- Drama students visit
with ELL students in the elementary building, performing skits,
reading books, etc.
TOTS EAT- All Drama students are
encouraged to be apart of this activity. On Saturday, October
21, student will dress as their favorite characters and "trick
or treat" for canned goods to be donated to our local CAM.
Thespians and Drama Clubs all over the country will participating
this month in TOTS EAT campaigns to fight hunger.
MSU Workshop and Play - Drama students
can attend this afternoon and evening activity at MSU in Springfield,
where they will attend workshops in the afternoon and attend
a play in the evening. The fee for this activity is $7, and
students will need money for dinner.
Missouri State Thespian Conference
- Thespians are eligible to attend this three day conference
in early January, involving mainstage shows, one acts and workshops.
Cost is $75, plus food. Students will stay overnight and will
be chaperoned. Scholarship options are available to Thespian
seniors who plan to pursue theatrical majors in college. Registration
must be completed in late October. All attendees are required
to complete a health form and a conference contract.
Thespian Leadership conference- This
overnight conference is for Drama club officers ( limit of 5)
only. The conference is the first weekend in September after
Labor Day. Students will accompany Mrs. Corbin, and will need
a health form and money for food.
