Welcome Parents, Students & Teachers
What is the BHS Transition Program?
The BHS TRANSITION Program provides help and opportunity for students to move successfully from high school to adult life—and positive post-secondary outcomes. A partnership among students, families, school personnel, agencies, and community businesses provides invaluable support in providing the information, experiences and planning needed in reaching student interest-based goals.
The overall goal of transition planning is to provide student opportunities which fill in gaps and facilitate post-secondary education & training, competitive, supported, or sheltered employment, and independent living skills, as needed.
A Self-determination emphasis, with career-specific academics, and hands-on experiences are Transition Program essentials which contribute to post-secondary success. A special thank you is due to our current community-based partners for providing sites for job exploration and shadowing experiences:
L & J Plumbing Supply (Piloted Job Shadowing)
Loyd’s Electric Supply (Piloted Job Shadowing)
C. Meek Lumber
Country Mart
Harry Cooper Supply Company
Skaggs Community Health Center
This site is dedicated to helping students and their families with information, resources, and connections for successfully taking strong steps toward a successful transition for life after high school.
