Branson Preschool Programs Affiliated With Branson Public Schools
Branson Public Schools offers a continuum of Early Childhood programs designed to serve young children between the ages of 3-5 years. All preschool programs are housed within Branson Cedar Ridge Primary School.
Some of these programs are tuition-based. Scholarship and State Subsidy applications are available to assist families with the financial commitment of the program.
Children turning four prior to August 1 are eligible to attend. Children must participate in a developmental screening prior to entering a program. This program is tuition-based. Class is in session for half day attendance, Monday – Friday. Hours are 8:30 – 11:30, $75/week. No breakfast or lunch provided, daily snack provided. Parents must provide transportation. Class size 12:1
Missouri Preschool Project
4’s – Children turning four prior to August 1, but not eligible for Kindergarten, may qualify for this program. This is a licensed program. Children must participate in a developmental screening. Each child will be given consideration based on the child’s screening results. Tuition is then based on a sliding scale that is dependent upon taxable income and number in the family. Class is in session for half day attendance, Monday – Friday. Hours are 8:30 – 11:30 AM or 12:15 – 3:15 PM. Parents must provide transportation. Daily snack provided. Class size 10:1
3’s & 4’s Combo Classes – Children turning three or four prior to August 1 may qualify for this program. This is a licensed program. Children must participate in a developmental screening to enroll. Each child will be given consideration based on the results of the screening. Tuition is based on a sliding scale that is dependent upon taxable income and number in the family. Class is in session for a full day, Monday – Friday. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily; the cost of meals is included in the tuition. Hours are 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM. Parents must provide transportation. Class size 20:2
Title 1 Preschool
Children turning four prior to August 1, but not eligible for Kindergarten, may qualify for this program. Children must participate in a developmental screening. Each child will be given consideration based on the results of the screening. Children with the greatest need of educational support are given first priority to enroll in the Title 1 Preschool. Breakfast and lunch provided at an additional cost and there is a $10/month snack fee. This is not a tuition-based program. Class is in session Monday – Friday. Hours are 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Parents must provide transportation. Class size 10:1
Reverse Mainstreaming This program is for 3 & 4 year olds (2 classrooms). Half day AM & PM, Monday thru Thursday, NO tuition. Meals provided at additional charge. Regular education students to serve as peer models in the SPED classroom.
Early Childhood Special Education
This program is designed to meet the needs of early childhood students who are demonstrating significant delays, typically in more than one developmental area. If the student needs one or more related services, these services will be provided while the student is in the program. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday. Students attend half day sessions from 8:30 – 11:30 AM or 12:15 – 3:15 PM. Daily snacks are provided, AM students receive breakfast and PM students receive lunch at an addition charge. The number of days children attend per week is outlined by their individual education plan (IEP). Parents can access transportation as a related service in this program.
This program is designed to provide care for preschool students during hours outside of their regular school day. Participants must be enrolled in one of the Branson Public Preschool programs in order to attend. Pirate’s Cove is open Monday – Friday in accordance with the school district calendar. Hours are 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM. Tuition is a flat fee, regardless of attendance, based upon the student’s preschool program enrollment. Eligibility for attendance in Pirate’s Cove is based on individual student needs.
Parents As Teachers
This program is designed to provide support to families throughout pregnancy until their child enters Kindergarten. PAT is FREE to all families in the Branson School District. Services can begin during pregnancy and continue until the child enter kindergarten. Children learn more during the first five years that at any other time in life and this program helps parents understand how their child grows and learns. Services include: Personal Visits – educators trained in child development offer suggestions for learning activities. The number of visits varies family to family. Developmental Screenings – this is a summary of your child’s development, focusing on language, cognitive, motor and social skills. Health, hearing and vision are also screened. Screenings are offered for 3 months through Kindergarten entry.
Referrals – connections with other community agencies are offered.
