Branson High School has a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Ben Walworth, a senior, will advance to the final round of the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. He is among approximately 16,000 academically talented students who have the opportunity to continue in the competition that will award $31 million in National Merit Scholarships.
Branson High School will host its annual College Fair on Monday, September 30, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the High School Commons. This event is open to all grade levels, but geared specifically to students in grades 9-12. Students from area schools including Blue Eye, Bradleyville, Forsyth, Hollister and School of the Ozarks, have also been invited to attend.
The Cedar Ridge campus parking lots received extensive renovation over the summer months. The new look will provide our visitors with safer access to cars in the parking lot when dropping off and picking up students. Renovation began May 17 and was completed just in time for the new school year.
Members of the FFA Chapter at BHS attended the annual state Leadership Camp June 3-7. The leadership experience was held at Camp Rising Sun which is located within the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Over 1,200 Missouri FFA students attended the camp and received training provided by state officers and a leadership director.
