  • District Provides Student Evaluations

    The Branson School District will conduct a meeting on October 18 at 1:00 p.m. for consultations regarding locating, evaluating and identifying students with disabilities who are enrolled in private, parochial or home school settings. The consultation will include referral, evaluation, diagnosis and service options.

  • Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences

    The Branson School District will hold parent/teacher conferences October 26 for grades PK-6. The district requests that parents attend these scheduled conferences to meet with teachers and receive an update on their student’s academic status. School will be in session for one-half day for all students on October 26 and 27.

  • Knipple Named National Merit Semifinalist

    Branson High School has a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Olivia Knipple, a senior, will advance to the final round of the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. She is among approximately 16,000 academically talented students who have the opportunity to continue in the competition that will award $32 million in National Merit Scholarships.

  • FCCLA Community Service Project

    Members of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) spent time with the Jesus Was Homeless organization as part of their monthly community service. Students filled lunch bags with sandwiches and delivered to families living in extended stay motels

  • ACT Composite Scores for BHS

    Branson High School's ACT composite scores, along with the state composite scores are in according to a report released earlier this month by the ACT organization. The ACT exam is required for admission to most colleges and universities.

  • FFA Students Attend MU Field Day

    FFA students attended the Missouri University Field Day on September 8. The event is designed to showcase some of the many agricultural careers available and provide information about those careers. Field Day was held at the MU Research Center in Mt. Vernon. BHS students are under the direction of Nicole Crocker and Aaron Magnuson.

  • BHS Voices Selected for District Choir

    The High School Choir students auditioned for a spot on the District Choir last Saturday. In all, 21 students earned District distinction and seven of these students are ranked in the top 25 for their voice part qualifying them for All State Choir Auditions in November. The students are under the direction of Jacob Carlew.

  • Central Bank Employees Donate to District

    Julie Lindstrom, representing Central Bank of Branson, presented Dr. Swofford with a check to purchase items needed by students, along with school supplies.

  • Child Development Classes Team with BE

    A partnership between the Child Development classes at Branson High School and Buchanan Elementary led to the creation of four dozen Sensory Bags for students. The bags were crafted by the high school students for use by students in grades K-3 to alleviate anxiety, calm fears and eliminate stress.

  • FFA Students Attend Leadership Camp

    Members of the FFA Chapter at BHS attended the annual state Leadership Camp July 10-14. The leadership experience was held at Camp Rising Sun which is located within the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Over 1,200 Missouri FFA students attended the camp.
