  • VFW Post Awards Patriot Pen Winners

    Branson-Hollister VFW Post #11290 sponsored the annual Patriot’s Pen writing competition this fall among area schools. The contest asked middle school students to write on the topic “Why I Honor the American Flag”. The writing competition is also sponsored nationally by VFW.

  • BI/CRI Math Winners Advance

    Buchanan Intermediate hosted the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics contest November 17. Competitors were among 150 students representing 15 area elementary schools. The students are under the direction of Shannon Pagan, fourth grade instructor, and Nancy Wray, sixth grade instructor.

  • Student Council Efforts Help Food Pantry

    The BHS Student Council collected 2,383 cans of food and $1,050 in donations to benefit others in our community. The student-led initiative also partnered with local businesses to fill the shelves at the food pantry. Collection bins were placed in businesses for patrons to donate food items and cash.

  • Students at MSSU Media Showcase

    Missouri Southern State University hosted its annual Media Showcase Day December 6. This year’s competition included over 500 entries in multiple categories. Branson High School students are under the direction of Alisa Cornelison.

  • Christmas Assistance Receives Donation

    Employees from First Community Bank donated $500 to our district’s Christmas Assistance Program. The money will be used to purchase gifts for students in need. We are grateful to First Community Bank for its support of our students and our district.

  • United Methodist Donates to District

    A donation that included over 1,000 pairs of socks and underwear was received by our social work office to benefit district students. The donation was organized and delivered by representatives from Branson United Methodist Church.

  • Love & Lovgic Parenting Classes

    The second semester session of Love and Logic parenting classes will begin Tuesday, January 22 and continue for consecutive Tuesdays through February 26. All classes will be held in Cedar Ridge Elementary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

  • ACT Scores Released for 2018

    Branson High School's ACT composite scores, along with the state composite scores are in according to a report released earlier this month by the ACT organization. The ACT exam is required for admission to most colleges and universities.

  • Math Results from Contest at Catholic

    Springfield Catholic High School was the host for the Great Plains Math League Contest held November 17. The competition included 15 area schools with 100 students participating. They are under the direction of Barb Cogdill and Lora Niles

  • Brown Places Third at District FFA

    The FFA District Speaking Contest was held November 15 at Aurora High School. Participants qualified at the Area Contest earlier this month to advance to the District competition. Branson FFA students are under the direction of Nicole Crocker and Aaron Magnuson.
