  • BHS Students Selected for All-State Choir

    Three students have been selected for the Missouri All-State Choir. They auditioned earlier this fall for All-District Choir to advance to the All-State competition. They are under the direction of Jacob Carlew.

  • District Awarded Skaggs Foundation Grants

    The district has been awarded two grants from the Skaggs Foundation Legacy Fund to be used to enhance the lives of students. Grant presentations were made October 31 at a reception held at the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce offices and hosted by the Foundation. Over $1 million in grants was awarded to area organizations.

  • Elementary Students Named All-State Choir

    Elementary choir students throughout Missouri had the opportunity to audition for a spot on the All-State Children’s Choir. Branson students selected for this prestigious distinction include: Lydia Bilyeu, Henry Cott, Georgia Griffith and Logan Quiring.

  • Sponsors Needed for Christmas Assistance

    The school district’s social work office is recruiting sponsors to provide assistance to some of our students in need this holiday season. Our goal is for each student to receive the following: a new hoodie; hat/gloves; one package of socks; one package of underwear; and a toy or non-clothing item (a list of suggested items will be provided). A hygiene bag will also be given to each family. The eligibility of the children participating is based on financial guidelines.

  • International Thespian Society Induction

    BHS theatre arts students have been inducted into the International Thespian Society. This Society is the student honorary division of the Educational Theatre Association which is the professional association for theatre education.

  • Results from SBU Math Contest

    The Great Plains Math League kicked off its competitive season October 5 with a contest held on the campus of Southwest Baptist University. Among the 93 students representing 17 area high schools, the BHS Math Team had seven students competing. They are under the direction of Barb Cogdill and Lora Niles.

  • MSBA Honors Early Childhood Program

    The Branson School District is the recipient of the Early Childhood Education Program of the Year award from FutureBuilders, the educational foundation of the Missouri School Boards’ Association. The award was presented at the 2019 MSBA Annual Conference held September 28 at Lake of the Ozarks.

  • FFA Students Attend Greenhand Conference

    The annual Area 12 Greenhand Conference was held at Missouri State University’s Darr Center on September 24. Branson’s 24 first-year FFA students were in attendance and among over 400 students representing Area 12 high schools.

  • PTO Major Saver Fundraiser

    PTO's Major Saver fundraiser is underway. Students in grades PK-8 will have the opportunity to sell the discount cards to family and friends. Cost is $15 each and many of the vendors listed on the cards feature local restaurants with BOGO offers.
