In the last home match of the season the Pirates hosted the Nixa Eagles.  The players wore pink warm ups, shoes laces and raffled a signed pink soccer ball to support their fundraising for Breast Cancer of the Ozarks.  While both teams had goal scoring opportunities in the first half neither team was able to convert due strong defense and outstanding goalie play.  Nixa was first to score just seconds into the second half on quick through ball on the right side.  Branson continued to pressure the Nixa defense and Wyatt Davis was able to break through scoring with only two minutes left in the match.  Jesh Gettling appeared to score the game winner for the Pirates with less than a minute to go, but the officials called a handball disallowing the goal.  After two overtime periods the game remained tied at 1-1 and went to penalty kicks.  The Pirates were unable to keep pace with the Eagles for a final score of 1-2 in PK's.  The Pirates will be on the road next week taking on Springfield Central and Springfield Catholic before returning home to host the District 11 tournament on October 27th.
In the JV contest the Pirates were unable to mount any offense and lost 0-5.
