The Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree for the month of January is Jamie Myers, 5th grade teacher at Buchanan Intermediate!
Mrs. Myers has been with the district for six years and received nominations from students and staff. "Jamie has impacted me by being someone I can count on. She taught me during my student teaching and cheered me on as I got a job," says fellow teacher, Olivia Lockhart.
Principal at Buchanan Intermediate, Dr. Matt Dean, notes that Mrs. Myers is selfless and determined to meet all of her students right where they are. In all of her nominations, both students and staff consistently described her with one word: Kind.
