Student Activities

Branson Public Schools takes a comprehensive approach to extracurricular engagement, offering students diverse opportunities that enrich their school experience and foster personal growth. Extracurricular offerings are categorized into three main areas: Sports, Co-Curricular Activities, and Clubs.

The district has set a goal to expand organized opportunities for students by streamlining youth sports programs, hiring a Director of Sports Performance, and leveraging Career Ladder to expand clubs throughout the district. Notably, new programs such as girls wrestling, e-sports, and archery have been introduced.

Currently, 65.79% of Branson High School students participate in extracurricular activities, reflecting a 5% increase over the past three years. Additionally, the district has achieved a 10% increase in participation among students enrolled in the National School Lunch Program, demonstrating efforts to make extracurricular opportunities accessible to all students.

Types of Student Activities:

Sports: MSHSAA-approved sports (ex: Football, Golf)

Co-Curricular Activities: academic classes with activities as an extension of the curriculum (ex: AFJROTC, Band)

Clubs: extracurricular activities not requiring enrollment in a specific academic class (ex: Chess Club, Math Club)
