District Photography and Video

As part of the educational program and school activities, the district may photograph, videotape, or otherwise record students for educational, instructional, informational, and school-related purposes, including but not limited to classroom activities, student projects, district publications, district websites, social media, yearbooks, newsletters, presentations, and other district communications.

Branson Public Schools operates under an opt-out process for student photography and video. Unless the district receives a completed Student Photography and Video Opt-Out Form from a parent/guardian or eligible student, the district may include the student's image, likeness, voice, or name in accordance with this policy and applicable law.

Parents/guardians or eligible students who do not wish for a student to be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded for district educational or communication purposes must complete a Student Photography and Video Opt-Out Form, available from their school's main office. Completed forms should be returned to the school's main office. The opt-out request will remain in effect until revoked in writing.
