We are proud to announce Coach Jeff Howard will be recognized as one of the Elite 11 by the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame! The individuals chosen were either All-State at a Missouri high school, earned recognition for a Missouri college football program or made significant contributions to the game.
Coach Howard is a 1996 graduate of Branson High School, and has been with the district for over 20 years. Howard helped plow the way for some of southwest Missouri’s top high school offenses in the mid-1990s under coach Steve Hancock (MSHOF 2009). In 1995, Howard earned Second Team All-State honors in Class 3 as a senior, plus was All-District and All-Ozarks by the News-Leader. That year, the Branson Pirates were 8-3 and won a district championship.
A three-year football letterman, Howard also lettered in track. He now serves as the co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach for the Pirates, having coached both lines, linebackers, special teams and defensive backs in various seasons dating back to the fall of 1998.
