Of course humble Nurse D would run away once she realized she wasn’t coming to help a student, but really to be recognized. Thankfully Dr. Harris and a few others were able to convince her to come into the gym where the high school drum line, cheerleaders, students, staff and her family were waiting to honor her. Nurse D has served the Branson School District for 25 years. She is the high school nurse, but also serves as the Health Services Coordinator.
"Nurse D is so deserving of this award," says Branson High School Assistant Principal, Dr. Anthony Lourenco. "She is one of the most caring, thoughtful individuals I know. Her passion for students is unprecedented."
Fellow school nurse Leigh Ann Sporich, says, “Nurse D goes above and beyond for the entire Health Services team every day. Even on the hardest days, she never waivers from her joyous smile and kind ways.”
We are incredibly blessed to have her in our district. Congratulations, Nurse D! You make us #PirateProud!
