Branson Public Schools is excited to join districts all across the region and Greater Ozarks Cooperating School Districts (GOCSD) for “Teacher Proud Tuesdays!” On the second Tuesday of every month, we’ll be highlighting one of our fantastic teachers!

For the month of October, we are proud to recognize Kelsey Jackson, 2nd grade teacher at Buchanan Elementary. When asked why she is deserving of this honor, Dr. April Hawkins, Principal at Buchanan Elementary, said: "Kelsey Jackson is a kind, considerate, and caring teacher who maintains unconditional positive regard for students. Mrs. Jackson is the whole package as a teacher; she builds strong relationships with learners, maintains solid classroom management, and masterfully implements best instructional practices in the classroom. She's a shining gem among the Pirate Family!"

The district wants to know who you think deserves recognition! To nominate an outstanding teacher for “Teacher Proud Tuesdays,” please complete this form: Teacher Proud Nomination Form

Nominate as many teachers as you’d like! Nominations roll over from one month to the next, so no need to resubmit your nominations. We’re looking forward to celebrating our teaching staff through this initiative! Check out this video of our students and staff celebrating Mrs. Jackson at Buchanan Elementary. #TeacherProud
