Student Council Efforts Help Food Pantry

The BHS Student Council collected 2,383 cans of food and $1,050 in donations to benefit others in our community. The student-led initiative also partnered with local businesses to fill the shelfs at the food pantry. Collection bins were placed in businesses for patrons to donate food items and cash. All proceeds and items collected were donated to the food pantry at Christian Action Ministries. Student Council members are under the direction of Todd Koon and Sunshine Ridinger.

Local businesses assisting the students with the canned food drive included: Edward Jones; O’Reilly Automotive; Price Chopper; Louanne Danner, realtor; Cole Currier, realtor; Ozark Family Vision Center; Holger Lekarz, LLC; Clean Everytime; Applied Digital, Inc; The Track; Branson Institute of Sleep; Central Bank; Taney County Tire; Hill Chiropractic; Little Hacienda; and State Park Marina.
