Duke TIP Participants Honored

The Drury Center for Gifted Education, in partnership with the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP), will honor over 400 of Missouri’s most promising young scholars at a recognition ceremony held May 24 at the O’Reilly Family Event Center.  The exclusive program identifies seventh graders across the United States who have scored at or above the 95th percentile on a grade-level achievement test and scored at a level equal to or better than 50 percent of the high school juniors and seniors who take the ACT or SAT exam.

Branson students qualifying for the Duke TIP recognition include Cash Davis and Ivan Wesley Avellanosa.

The Duke Talent Identification Program searches through 16 south-central states to locate seventh graders who perform at the college level in the SAT or ACT. Since 1981, Drury has provided an award recognition ceremony for Missouri students.
