Jack Harris, BHS principal, has been named Exemplary New High School Principal for the southwest region of the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MoASSP). He was nominated and voted on by his peers for the distinction. The award is presented annually to those who have completed no more than three years of employment as a high school principal and have made significant contributions to the district which they serve. The southwest region represents 102 school districts. The award was presented to Harris at an all-school assembly held September 18.
Harris is a graduate of College of the Ozarks and holds a master’s degree from Lindenwood University. He earned a specialist degree from Missouri State University. Harris is also a BHS graduate. He is in his 14th year with the Branson School District.
Jack and his wife Melissa, a teacher at Buchanan Elementary, have two school-age children.
