Athletic and Activity Guidelines for Field Usage

Branson School Athletic & Activity Guidelines - Summer 2020

 

With the Shelter in Place for Branson being lifted, the Branson School District will use the following guidelines regarding facility usage.  These guidelines are based off of Governor Parson’s recovery plan for the state of Missouri and recommendations by the Missouri State Athletic Association.

May 2020 (Phase 1)

  • All Indoor facilities will remain closed until June 1st.
  • Outdoor facilities will open May 16th for practices, but no games. This is the day after the 2019-2020 school year has officially ended.  Practices need to be scheduled through the High School Athletic Office.
  • Groups can be no larger than 15 people (total participants and includes coaches and sponsors).
  • Social Distancing guidelines need to be followed.

June 1-14 (Phase 2)

  • Indoor facilities will open up with no more than 25 people per location.
  • No scrimmages, games, etc. for contact sports. Fundamentals and drill work only.
  • Baseball/Softball games can begin with 25% maximum occupancy of stands.
  • Outdoor facilities can be no larger than 50 people.
  • Social Distancing guidelines need to be followed.

June 15-July 5 (Phase 3)

  • Indoor facilities will still be restricted to a maximum of 25 per location.
  • Contact sports can begin scrimmaging, playing games, competing in leagues with 25% maximum occupancy of stands for indoor facilities and 50% for outdoor facilities.
  • Outdoor facilities still no larger than 50 people.

July 6-31

      All facilities open up, with possible occupancy restrictions for fans.

  • Unforeseen restrictions/guidelines from state and national authorities could be required July 1. We will abide by these recommendations.

All summer activities are optional.  If you are not comfortable sending your student athlete during these unique circumstances, we understand.  These guidelines are subject to change if state or local leaders decide more restrictions need to be in place.
