PreSchool Program Information

Branson Preschool Programs Affiliated With Branson Public Schools

Branson Public Schools offers a continuum of Early Childhood programs designed to serve young children between the ages of 3-5 years. All preschool programs are housed within Branson Cedar Ridge Primary School.

 

Pirate Preschool

This full day program is for children turning ages 3 or 4 prior to August 1st.  

Children with the greatest need of educational support are given first priority to enroll in this program.  Families must also meet the financial requirement for a student to qualify for this program.  Classes are in session Monday - Thursday (8:15 am - 3:15 pm) and Friday (8:15 am-2:15 pm).  Breakfast and lunch are provided at an additonal cost and there is a $10 monthly snack fee.  

This is NOT a tuition based program.  Parents must provide transportation.  Class ratio is 20:2.

 

Tuition Based Preschool

This full day program is for children turning ages 3 or 4 prior to August 1st.

Children who are Kindergarten eligible, but are waiting a year, are also eligible for this class.  

This is a tuition class with the cost of $115 a week (tuition is due regardless of attendance).  Classes are in session Monday - Thursday (8:15 am - 3:15 pm) and Friday (8:15 am - 2:15 pm).  Breakfast and lunch are provided at an additional cost.

Parents must provide transportation.  Class ratio is 20:2.

 

Early Childhood Special Education

This program is designed to meet the needs of early childhood students who are demonstrating significant delays, typically in more than one developmental area.

If a student needs one or more services, these services will be provided while the student is in the program.  This is a half-day program for 3 and 4 year olds.

The number of days that children attend is outlined by their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).  Parents can access transportation as a related service in this program.  Morning students may purchase breakfast at an additional cost and afternoon students may purchase lunch at an additional cost.

Students eligible for this program will be contacted by Branson Public Schools Special Services Program.  Students are referred into this program following their PAT screening and additional testing may be required.

 

Reverse Mainstream Role Model Program

This is a half-day program for 3 and 4 year olds.  There is no tuition for this program.  Class are in session Monday - Thursday (8:30 am - 11:30 am) for 3 year olds and Monday - Thursday (12:15 pm - 3:15 pm) for 4 year olds.

Parents must provide transportation.  Breakfast or lunch will be provided at an additional cost.  Reverse Mainstream students serve as peer models for our ECSE classrooms.

Some restrictions apply for this program, and if accepted, there is an additional application process.  Participants will be chosen based on applications, screening results and or recommendations.

 

Pirate's Cove Childcare

This program is designed to provide before and after class child care for students who are enrolled in one of our preschool programs. 

Pirate's Cove is in session Monday - Friday (6:45 am - 5:30 pm) in accordance with our school district calendar.  Tuition is a flat fee based on the student's preschool program enrollment (Tuition is due regardless of attendance).  Eligibility for enrollment in Pirate's Cove is based on individual student needs and space is limited.  Breakfast and lunch are available at an additional cost.

                                                                pat         Parents As Teachers

This program is designed to provide support to families throughout pregnancy until their child enters Kindergarten. PAT is FREE to all families in the Branson School District. Services can begin during pregnancy and continue until the child enter kindergarten. Children learn more during the first five years that at any other time in life and this program helps parents understand how their child grows and learns. Services include: Personal Visits – educators trained in child development offer suggestions for learning activities. The number of visits varies family to family. Developmental Screenings – this is a summary of your child’s development, focusing on language, cognitive, motor and social skills. Health, hearing and vision are also screened. Screenings are offered for 3 months through Kindergarten entry.

Referrals – connections with other community agencies are offered.

Various other activities and resources are available at times.
