Response to Intervention (RTI) is a problem-solving model for providing high-quality instruction and intervention driven by student need, school-wide screening, and progress monitoring of evidence-based interventions. The data gained from the interventions is used to make educational decisions that meet students’ needs. The RTI framework is a tiered model of providing intervention services to students. The level or intensity of the intervention is based upon the specific academic or behavioral needs of the student. Student progress is monitored during all points in the system in order to provide information on the response of the student to the intervention implemented.
