Tim Butler
Principal
Dr. Butler is beginning his 13th year with the Branson Schools. This will be his first year as the principal at Buchanan Elementary. He spent nine years as the assistant principal at Branson Junior High School and three as a classroom teacher at Cedar Ridge Intermediate. He began his educational career as an elementary teacher with the Hollister Schools. Dr. Butler graduated from Branson High School and has a bachelor's degree from College of the Ozarks. He also holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Evangel University and a Doctorate of Education from Evangel University.
Dr. Butler's wife, Stephanie, and two children, Matthew and Maddox, live in the Branson community. Stephanie is also an educator for the district and teaches at Branson Junior High. Matthew is fifteen and is in tenth grade, while Maddox is eleven and in sixth grade.
Dr. Butler is a member of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP), National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
Dustin Ewers
Assistant Principal
Mr. Dustin Ewers will be serving his first year in the Branson schools as the assistant principal at Buchanan Elementary. He has spent the last 10 years in the classroom teaching at Blue Eye. During that time, he taught physical education and special education. Additionally, he served as the head varsity baseball coach for the last 8 years. Mr. Ewers has a Bachelor’s degree from College of the Ozarks. He received a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. Ewers and his wife, Cassie, have two children under the age of 3 who are excited to be joining the Branson Pirate family.
Mr. Ewers is a member of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP), National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
