Special Education

The major purpose of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is to provide children with disabilities the supports and services they need to learn and progress.  The IDEA requires that each child receives a free and appropriate public education (FAPE).  Parents or guardians of children with disabilities participate in many meetings and work alongside school personnel in planning the special education services and supports needed by the child.
