Welcome to Branson Public Schools!

We appreciate your interest in our district.

Welcome to Branson!

PLEASE NOTE: After reading the following information, click this link that will direct you to our new application process: https://branson.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx

An application must be completed for both the Missouri Department of Education and Branson Schools.

After receiving your Branson application, your name will be placed on the next upcoming board agenda as a substitute employee at Branson (you do not need to attend).  After the meeting, those that have met all the certifications and requirements will be invited to a training. Attending a training is mandatory before substituting.

Due to federal regulations governing our payroll, you are required to present your social security card when applying to be a substitute employee at Branson Schools. We will not compensate you for hours worked without presenting your card.

Due to the Healthcare Reform Act, substitutes will be limited to substituting four days during a work-week.

Returning Substitutes

You are considered a returning substitute if you were on the substitute list during the 2021-2022 school year and received at least one payroll deposit.

Returning substitutes must complete a new application and corresponding checklist.

2.  REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

  • UPDATE: At its August meeting, the State Board of Education approved the 20 hour online training option for obtaining a substitute certificate. This rule will go into effect late December 2021. DESE will begin working with the training vendor to tentatively open the required training later in the fall. This will allow the opportunity for interested individuals to complete the training prior to December and be ready to submit a substitute application when the rule becomes effective in late December. Notification will be provided when the training is available.  Please see this link:  Frontline Substitute Teacher Training
